Investment protection from corn technologies
Mycogen® brand corn hybrids feature insect-resistant traits, herbicide-tolerant traits and seed treatments to help maximize whole-farm yield.
Dedication that breeds innovation
Along with Dow AgroSciences, we’re bringing the latest, most advanced technologies to the farm. In the future, growers can look forward to even more innovations to maximize their crop production:
  • New insect traits
  • New herbicide-tolerant traits
  • New agronomic traits
Future Traits Technology
Enlist™ Weed Control System
Pending regulatory approval, Mycogen Seeds customers will be among the first growers to have access to the Enlist™ Weed Control System1. Mycogen will be the first national seed brand to bring the Enlist trait into its corn lineup.

Current Traits Technology
Maximizes yield potential by enabling growers to reduce refuge requirements from 20 percent down to 5 percent.2 Mycogen brand corn hybrids with SmartStax trait technology deliver the broadest-spectrum above- and below-ground insect control with multiple modes of action. These hybrids can be used with multiple Roundup Ready® or LibertyLink® herbicide programs.
SmartStax is available in Refuge Advanced®, a single-bag refuge management solution for growers in the Corn Belt.3
POWERCORE corn trait
Combines multiple modes of action for industry-leading protection against above-ground insects. This new trait technology offering effectively controls European corn borer, southwest corn borer, corn earworm, fall armyworm, western bean cutworm and black cutworm. Multiple modes of action enable reduced refuge requirements from 20 percent to 5 percent in the Corn Belt and 50 percent to 20 percent in cotton-growing regions. POWERCORE® is offered in elite corn genetics from Mycogen Seeds, bringing superior performance and protection. These hybrids can be used with multiple Roundup Ready® or LibertyLink® herbicide programs.
POWERCORE is available in Refuge Advanced®, a single-bag refuge management solution for growers in the Corn Belt.3
Herculex® XTRA Insect Protection
Offers outstanding protection against above- and below-ground corn insects for maximum yield potential. It combines high-yielding genetics with season-long control of European corn borer, corn rootworm, western bean cutworm, black cutworm and fall armyworm. Herculex XTRA offers the ability to use a cost-effective weed control option or a conventional herbicide program.
Herculex® I Insect Protection
Delivers a wide window of protection against tough above-ground pests, such as European corn borer, western bean cutworm and black cutworm.
Agrisure 3122
With two modes of action against corn borer and corn rootworm, hybrids containing the Agrisure® 3122 trait stack offer growers the benefit of a reduced refuge.
AgriSure® 3000GT
With corn borer and corn rootworm control, the Agrisure® 3000GT triple stack provides yield protection plus the flexibility to choose weed management practices that meet individual needs.
AgriSure GT/CB/LL
Combines the convenience and performance of tolerance to glyphosate and glufosinate herbicides and resistance to corn borer.
Roundup Ready Corn 2
Tolerant to over-the-top applications of glyphosate herbicides for cost-effective, broad-spectrum weed control.
Seed Treatments
Crusier Corn 250
CruiserMaxx® Corn 250 insecticide/fungicide seed treatment is the standard treatment on Mycogen® brand corn hybrids. It protects corn seed and seedlings against early season insects and seed- and soil-borne diseases leading to increased plant stand, uniformity, vigor and yield potential. CruiserMaxx Corn 250 is a combination of separately registered products containing Cruiser® seed treatment insecticide, Maxim® Quattro seed-applied fungicide, plus enhanced protection against Fusarium.
Cruiser® 5FS insecticide contains a rate of 0.25, 0.50 or 1.25 mg a.i./seed of thiamethoxam, plus Maxim® Quattro fungicide.
1Regulatory approvals are pending for the Enlist herbicide solution and crops containing Enlist herbicide tolerance traits.
2In cotton-growing regions, refuge requirements are reduced from 50 percent to 20 percent.
3In cotton-growing regions, a separate 20 percent structured refuge is still required for Refuge Advanced.
