Contest Helps Showcase Harvest Stories: Three Regions, Nine Winners
INDIANAPOLIS — Oct. 23, 2012 — Mycogen Seeds and Farm Progress Publications are sponsoring the My Harvest Story contest, allowing growers to share their most memorable harvest story for a chance to win one of nine prizes.
“We are excited to team up with Farm Progress Publications for this contest,” says Hank King, senior portfolio marketing leader for Mycogen Seeds. “Most growers have a harvest time story they recall every year, and this contest provides a way for them to share it with others.”
To enter, growers can submit videos, written stories or images of their most memorable harvest for the chance to win prizes. Entries can be submitted until Nov. 20, 2012.
A team of judges from Farm Progress and Mycogen Seeds will then select five finalists from three geographic regions. Growers will vote online for the winners during the month of December, and winners will be announced in January 2013.
First-place winners, which include three winners each from different regions, will receive a John Deere® Gator™ XUV 550 and $5,000 credit for MYCOGEN® brand REFUGE ADVANCED® powered by SmartStax® seed. Six runners-up will receive a Weber® Genesis® grill and a $1,000 credit for MYCOGEN brand REFUGE ADVANCED seed.
