Mycogen Seeds Sponsors Austin Dillon in Brickyard 400

INDIANAPOLIS — July 18, 2013 — Mycogen Seeds is partnering with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) to sponsor Austin Dillon at the 2013 Brickyard 400 Sprint Cup Series race July 28. Dillon drives the No. 3 Chevrolet® car in the NASCAR® Nationwide Series, but he will take the wheel of the Mycogen Seeds No. 33 Chevrolet for this race.

“As one of America’s fastest-growing seed companies, Mycogen Seeds is excited to sponsor one of the fastest, up-and-coming drivers in NASCAR,” says Hank King, U.S. corn marketing leader for Mycogen Seeds. “On the race track or on the farm, it’s all about high performance. That’s why this partnership is a natural fit.”

In 2012, his first year of full-time Nationwide Series competition, Dillon finished third in the point standings and was named Rookie of the Year.
Like RCR, Mycogen Seeds has a legacy of innovation and success, King says. “We’re looking forward to seeing the Mycogen logo on the No. 33 car to showcase the drive to succeed between two progressive organizations,” he says.

“I'm looking forward to my first Brickyard start in the [Sprint] Cup Series,” Dillon says. “I’ll try to do my best to give Mycogen Seeds a great finish.”

Since its inaugural race in 1994, the Brickyard 400 has been the most attended and second-highest-paying event in NASCAR. The race is in Indianapolis, home of Mycogen Seeds headquarters.

The 2013 Brickyard 400 is set for Sunday, July 28, at 1 p.m. EDT at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race is scheduled to air live on ESPN®.
