We have a wide array of businesses including: agriculture, where the focus is on crop protection and seed production; Specialty Non-Crop markets such as forestry, rights-of-way and range and pasture management; Urban Pest Management, which includes structural protection, indoor pest control and turf and ornamental markets; or our newest business, Plant Genetics and Biotechnology.

Sales positions are located throughout the world.

Candidate Profile

The largest majority of our entry-level positions in Sales and Marketing are as a Sales Representative, a role that quickly provides a strong knowledge of our customers' needs. To have a successful sales career at Dow AgroSciences, you need to be a motivated self-starter who gets things done. Maintaining a high level of customer confidence requires the ability to communicate effectively and work with a diverse range of people and teams. You also need to be able to analyze market needs and develop and implement strategic plans accordingly.

One of the essential prerequisites for a sales position is a high level of motivation to achieve goals and a corresponding willingness to accept accountability for job performance and personal development. You should also enjoy travel and have geographic flexibility.

Career Paths

Most employees in our commercial function begin with our company as a Sales Representative, working as a valued consultant with customers, helping them identify challenges and finding solutions. After proving yourself as a top-performing Sales Representative, you may choose between continuing to grow professionally in a sales position such as Senior Sales Specialist, Account Manager, Customer Agronomist or follow a non-sales career path.

This could include a future in market research, marketing communications or marketing specialist and from there you can advance to District Sales Manager, Local Business Unit Leader, Global Business Leader, overseas assignments or many other key corporate positions. Also common are moves over into other functional and developmental roles such as finance, human resources, customer service and much more.
