Individual Development Plan
The Employee Development Plan (EDP) is another tool to help you reach your career objectives. This will be developed with a dialogue between you and your supervisor gathering input on your work history, prior work experiences, strengths and developmental areas, unique talents and experiences, career interests, and potential future assignments. You then make a plan to prepare yourself for maximizing effectiveness in your current job as well as preparing you for future opportunities.
You may then review your EDP with other supervisors in your business unit or function, and possibly supervisors in other areas of the company, for their input, feedback and consideration. The goal of the process is to continue to develop your talent consistent with your needs as well as the business' needs.
360 Degree Feedback
A 360-degree feedback tool also exists to aid in gaining insight into how you are viewed by your teammates.
