This individual will develop, maintain and implement a strategic business plan for sorghum and cotton products that outlines market, unique position, growth plan and profit improvement projections. Lead product line direction through Commercialization Committee by setting research priorities, developing annual worldwide crop plan, new product commercialization and product deletions. Develop annual pricing strategy that addresses competition and delivers stated objectives for profit and growth. Monitor and recommend adjustments in price as warranted by industry conditions and competition. Develop specific promotional campaigns for the product lines. Participate in training of the sales force through development of sales tools and by participating in meetings with the distribution channel and customers. Work with operations to achieve competitive advantages in cost structures and quality standards. Work with operations and sales to maximize the use of available inventory.
A BS degree with 3 years of sales and/or marketing experience is required, MBA and agriculture background is preferred. Must have proven leadership record, excellent interpersonal skills and PC knowledge.
