Management Tips

Plow down to add high quantities of organic matter to the soil.

Grazing:

Not recommended - very slow growing and little regrowth.

Hay:

Not recommended - other hybrids much better.

Greenchop:

Excellent staygreen - will not head until late in the growing season. Excellent for dairymen as time of harvest is much less critical for maintaining quality as it is for other sorghum-sudan hybrids.

Plant at 12 to 15 lbs. per acre in rows for greenchop and 50 to 50 lbs per are when broadcasting (drill).
