Management Tips

Plant in rows at 10 to 12 lbs. per acre. Broadcast at 25 to 70 lbs. per acre.

Grazing:

Graze after plants reach 24 inches in height. Do not graze for 10 -14 days after rapid regrowth caused by frost or drought.

Hay:

Cut in the pre-boot stage for highest quality and maximum TDN. Cut to allow 8 to 10 inches of stubble. Apply 30-40 units of nitrogen to maximize regrowth after each cutting.

Greenchop:

Can be done anytime after the hybrid is two feet tall until head development. If a source of sorghum pollen in near, manage cutting to avoid seed set.
