Mycogen Corporation

As President, Carl Eibl is Mycogen's chief executive. He works with the board of directors to establish the company's strategic direction and has overall responsibility for operations and management.

Mycogen is a diversified biotechnology and agribusiness company that develops and markets seeds for genetically enhanced crops and environmentally compatible biopesticides to control pests and increase food and fiber production.

Eibl joined Mycogen in 1993 as executive vice president and general counsel. In 1995, he took on additional responsibility for finance, and later that year was appointed president and chief operating officer. Before joining Mycogen, Eibl was a corporate attorney with the law firms of Brobeck, Phlegler & Harrison in San Diego, and Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison in New York.

Eibl earned a BA degree in economics and English literature from Cornell University, and a JD degree from the Boston University School of Law.
