In addition to his duties as corporate secretary, Mike Sund has overall responsibility for Mycogen's communications activities, including shareowner publications and contacts, news and financial media relations and employee communications.

Before joining Mycogen, Sund spent more than 20 years in a variety of media, corporate, agency and institutional positions, most recently as principal of his own public relations consulting firm. He is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute and the San Diego Investor Relations Group, and is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America.

A native of San Diego, Sund earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from San Diego State University and a master's in journalism from Northwestern University.
