The individual we choose will be responsible for the management and implementation of various Mycogen winter nursery programs; i.e. corn, cotton, soybeans, sorghum, peanuts. Provide technical leadership with regard to breeding, setup, nursery management, budgeting, and personnel management. Manage crop growth and culture. Make detailed observations, communicate data, and propose future actions. Regularly conduct tests and experiments to identify new techniques to use in improving seed yields and overall crop growth and appearance.
RESEARCH TECHNICIAN
Position is immediately available to provide general equipment maintenance and repair of research equipment, schedule preventative maintenance on facilities and farm equipment and ensure operational safety standards are met for equipment listed. The individual we are seeking will also train other operators on correct operation of self-propelled equipment. Requirements for this position include an AA or trade school degree (or equivalent), 5-8 years experience troubleshooting and repairing farm equipment. Must also be skilled in arc welding, gas welding/cutting and hydraulic systems.
