| INDIANAPOLIS – August 22, 2002 – Mycogen Seeds will unveil its new online ordering system for dealers this fall, just in time for 2003 seed orders. The new system is an online tool that will increase the efficiency of ordering Mycogen Seeds hybrids and varieties and will deliver valuable information to Mycogen dealers and the sales force. “This innovative program will help our dealers and sales force to provide growers with real-time product availability and order status information,” says Jay Stidham, Sales Information Manager. “Mycogen customers will benefit from the additional information that dealers will have at their fingertips.” The MLink system will give dealers more control of the ordering process and allow for increased flexibility and faster customer service. MLink enables dealers to monitor inventory and confirm product availability online. The system is fast and easy to use, providing flexibility to change orders as growers’ needs change. It also confirms order placement and tracks delivery to the grower. Trait stewardship agreements are available on the new system, too, which can automatically print copies for the grower. “MLink will add value to our customer service. The system will confirm product availability at the time growers place their orders, boosting confidence in seed availability,” says Stidham. “This is the way we will do business in the future. We plan to add additional features to MLink, including sales programs and product use guides.” Mycogen Seeds is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company and is an affiliate of Dow AgroSciences LLC.
