|

|
Starane XL, containing the active ingredients florasulam and fluroxypyr, is a full-season cleavers control product that gives reliable performance throughout the spring, independent of temperature or speed of cleavers growth. In winter wheat and winter barley, applications can be made from when the crop has three true leaves (GS13) all the way up to and including the before flag leaf sheath opening stage (GS45). A range of other broad-leaved weeds are also controlled, including chickweed, mayweeds and volunteer oilseed rape. Starane XL is compatible in tank mix with many spring-applied crop protection products, including epoxiconazole, chlorothalonil and the most popular plant growth regulators. Sequences and tank mixes are also approved for a number of other ALS-inhibitor herbicides. Approvals for sequencing of ALS-inhibitor herbicides are granted by active ingredient name, whereas the position with tank mixing is based on product or brand name. For 2006, Starane XL can be applied in sequence with products containin gonly one of the following active substances or active substance combinations: |
Or, Starane XL can be applied in tank mix with one of the following products:
Only one other product with an ALS-inhibitor mode of action can be applied to a cereal crop treated with Starane XL.
When Starane XL is applied in sequence or tank mix with other ALS-inhibitor products there are no additional following crop restrictions or cultivation requirements over and above those stipulated on either product label, except when the sequence or tank mix includes Concert SX, Finish SX, Harmony M SX or Presite SX, then only cereals or grass can be sown in the following autumn. All permitted crops can be sown the following spring.
Effective control of cleavers can be achieved throughout the season, up to and including GS45, with Starane XL. Recommended rates are:
