Management Guidelines

  • Highly recommended for silage use within its adapted maturity.
  • Good plant agronomics will support moderate-high to high plant densities, especially under irrigated production.
  • Roundup Ready® allows for easy and affordable weed control options.
  • Moderately hard grain will benefit from a kernel processor.
  • A strong fertility program for silage production is important to maximize tonnage and maintain the quality of the silage.
  • Intermediate gray leaf spot tolerance — will benefit from a foliar fungicide.
  • When storing TMF hybrids in a pile or a bunker, recommended moisture levels for harvesting range from 65 percent to 68 percent; for bags, 62 percent to 68 percent.
