Management Guidelines

  • Recommended for silage, earlage and high-moisture corn.
  • The strong root and stalk characteristics will support moderate to moderate-high plant densities.
  • A strong fertility program is essential to maximize the forage yield potential and to maintain optimal forage quality.
  • Excellent staygreen provides a wider harvest window.
  • Monitor harvest moisture closely as harvest approaches. Hybrids may be drier or wetter than physical appearance indicates.
  • When storing TMF hybrids in a pile or a bunker, recommended moisture levels for harvesting range from 65 percent to 68 percent; for bags, 62 percent to 68 percent.
