MYCOGEN SEEDS HIRES SCHROEDER AS FARM MANAGER/CROP CONSULTANT SPECIALIST 8/6/1999

Eagan, Minn., Aug. 6, 1999 ...Chris Schroeder has
joined Mycogen Seeds as a farm manager/crop consultant specialist. In his new position,
Schroeder will be responsible for coordinating sales and developing relationships with
farm managers and consultants in the Corn Belt east of the Mississippi.
"Chris brings a wealth of people skills to the Mycogen
team," says Harold Lovin, Mycogen regional sales manager. "Add to that his
lifelong involvement in agriculture and you will see why we have chosen him for this
position."
Previously, Schroeder was employed with DeKalb Genetics as
an account representative for key accounts. He also had worked for Wyffles Hybrids
as a district sales manager, and he farmed with his family in east central Illinois on a
1,600-acre corn, soybean, hog, and sheep operation.
Schroeder graduated from Illinois State University in 1981
with a bachelors degree in agricultural production. He is a certified crop
consultant and a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
